Italian luxury fashion house Gucci will soon accept cryptocurrency for payment.

Vogue reports that Gucci will soon start accepting cryptocurrencies in some of its US stores at the end of May. Crypto fans may love this move of Gucci.

Customers will be able to pay bills at the Gucci store in more than 10 cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, Shiba Inu, Dogecoin, and five stablecoins pegged to the US dollar.

Initially, Gucci will only accept cryptocurrency at five stores that are located on Wooster Street in New York, Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles, Miami Design District, Phipps Plaza in Atlanta, and The Shops at Crystals in Las Vegas.

Limited Gucci stores will accept crypto initially; More of its stores will start accepting crypto as payment over time.

The payment link will be sent to the customer’s email address containing a QR code. Using QR code customers can pay crypto to store from their crypto wallet.

Gucci is taking great interest in the new technology. Earlier, Gucci launched its NFT and became the first luxury fashion house to enter NFT.


“Gucci is always looking to embrace new technologies when they can provide an enhanced experience for our customers. Now that we are able to integrate cryptocurrencies within our payment system, it is a natural evolution for those customers who would like to have this option available to them,” said Gucci’s CEO Marco Bizzarri. 

“Gucci has established itself as an early adopter of Web3 technologies, which include blockchain, and crypto payments mark another step toward Gucci blending its existing physical presence with its emerging Web3 efforts,” the luxury fashion house said in its press release.

Many well-known people have spoken about the announcement of Gucci’s crypto payment option.

According to some people, after this move of Gucci, many other big companies will also adopt crypto.

Big brands like Gucci are supporting cryptocurrencies, but on the other hand, some people still do not fully believe in the future of cryptocurrencies.
